I just got an email from Jamie's girlfriend.
The surgery went okay, but there were some complications with his kidneys. He is doing better now and the kidneys are functioning on their own. But he will be in the hospital longer than expected. So if anybody wants to send a letter to him, he would still get it. I think I am going to write him again. I forgot to send a card last week, I feel bad about
that, but I thought he would be going home sooner than he is.
I hope he is back on the forum soon. I sure miss the "Happy Turtle" posts.
Take care all!!!
Luv and hugs, Karen...

for the update.
Good thing both kidneys are functioning!

Thanks. I'd been worrying about
him. I'm glad things are functioning now but I know he's got to be tired of the hospital.

Joanne,
Jamie had to have surgery on his heart. I think it was a double by-pass. Not positive. The first attempt didn't go well as he had a reaction to one of the medications, so they postponed it till last week. This time he did good, but his kidneys stopped functioning. But they are now working on their own. I have his address if you would like to write him. That is his only contact at this time. Just email me and I will give it to you. My email address is in my profile. He will probably be in the hospital for a few more weeks. I am going to send him another letter. It does take a week or two for him to get a letter from the US....
There is a thread on it, I think it is called "Jamie is in the hospital". But I think it fell a few pages back.
I hope I did okay explaining, if you have any more questions, let me know...
Hugs, Karen...

Thank goodness that he's okay now. I hope he feels better, it must felt horrible for him ):
I would love to send him a mail but I'm from Malaysia and it might take him a month or so to get my letter so... mind as well just send an email, is that okay though ?
and how's his sight ? I hope it's A Okay now.. I sure do miss the happy turtle ):
Thanks for the explanation Karen! (((((((((((((((Karen)))))))))))))))

He doesn't have a computer at the hospital that I know of, that is why we are sending cards and letters. But he will get the email when he gets home...
I hope you are having a good day...
Hugs, Karen... It is too early for me to tell. Allergies acting up....

Life is so hard whenever you have a huge challenge over and over again. It's like playing the repeat button and watching the thing that you hate but yet have no control on stopping it. Sighhhh...
Well then, I'd just write an email when he's back from the hospital then.. since writing a card is definitely not an option for me.
I just really hope and wish that he'd get to his feet soon.
Thanks for the update Karen, have a nice day.

Girls just FYI, I had a triple bypass 13 years ago, it scared me
but health wise it was the best thing to happen to me, I still
feel like I'm in my 40's, be 72 in April. After they get him up
for the first walk by the next day he will be wanting to go home.
After that lots of walking, Living!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peace

Me too, poor guy. He has been through a lot. But I think this surgery is going to help him with many of the issues he was having. I can't wait for him to be back on the forum...
How is your day going???

Yes he has. I hope he wouldn't have too much pain again. I'm sure he's anxious to get back to the forum as well.
My day wasn't too bad. I slept in this morning. This evening I visited an uncle who got a stroke recently.
How was your day? Hope the weather is warming up.
