prozac side effects?

Hello,

Im on Prozac 20mg per day for 3 1/2 months now and recently i've been having involuntary muscle spasms in several parts of my body and vivid dreams,i also make movements during the dreams.I remember myself throwing my pillow 2 days ago when i was dreaming. I'm also under a lot of pressure because of university and im pretty anxious but i don't know whether those happen due to medication. Does anyone know? I know i should obviously contact my doctor.

Yes I would talk to the doc. But it could be the stress that you are under too. But talking to the doc would be the best idea...

How is the prozac working for you otherwise???

I took Prozac and I remember that I developed muscle spasms, this is normal with most antidepressants. I would talk with your doc and see what he/she thinks. My spasms never went away and now I am shaking like a leaf all the time, I have hand tremors due to my antidepressants over the years and it is something that can not be controlled. I did not have vivid dreams with it but with your stress levels the dreams maybe from that. Talk with your doc and see what they say and I hope that the medication works well for you. I had to stop because I am also bipolar and it made me be on very long term highs, and bipolar people with mania is not really a good thing anyways.

Hi Jeoch, I also am on 20mg Prozac for about 3 1/2 months! I have vivid dreams almost everynight. I remember what I dream about every morning when I wake up and that never used to happen before the medicine. I have had a muscle spasm before on it too, well kind of. It was kind of like a head tremor. I just felt like my head was moving back and forth, but it wasn't too bad. The side effect (I think) is Im feeling exhausted all day. I went to the DR yesterday and had blood tests done to rule out anemia or anything like that that might be making me feel this way. If everything comes back fine with that, Im going to try taking the medicine at night.
