i feel a poem coming on-just of the cuff.

the emptiness of the seas,
futile is war and strength in love-
far away i see,
the ministry of time,
the ache of land,
destruction of man,
and mother earth shows her hand.

pain a forgotten friend,
as soon as your born your dying,
but what of hope.
set the doves free,
we are blessed-you and me,
till time ends-it ends.

my soul forever sings,
and fly's where eagles dare.
my purity of heart,
out stretched my hand,
we are one in this forgotten land.
live in harmony,
spill no poison on this earth-
be still in time,
meditate, no crime,
beauty is both you and i.
the sea is land-
just swept by sand,
never forget
for time will tell,
rush no more,
be truth as one,
our land our home our sun.

The first line speaks to the pessimistic anxiety that I feel brings me to depression, but you followed it right up with what I am trying to see more of as part of my healing journey: hope.

i don't write much anymore, as as you can see i write utter rubbish. it is s... that's what it is. rot. nothing and useless. just like me. tired, old, cranky sick and useless is my poetry just like me. sorry for writing such rot on the forum. i hate it. i hate me. expletive this!!!! i am useless, inept and a waste of space. today i wish i wasn't here. not a happy turtle.

Do you trust me ? Do you trust my every word I say ? Do you trust me as your loyal friend ?

Because here's what I think about you.
You are NOT rubbish. As far as I'm concern, you're the greatest person who absolutely loves Metallica and has a great heart that never gives up.
You're NOT an inept. If you are, then you would've broke your laptop by now and you didn't. You took care of Buttons very well. You're responsible and definitely NOT and I repeat, NOT inept so get that crappy thought out of your brain because that ain't you at all.
You're NOT a waste of space. You're a great creation and worth a lot of space. After all you've been through and you're still keeping your hopes high; most people had given up Long before they woke up but you my friend, you never give up and you're that person who keeps on trying again and again and again no matter what.
You're not 'old'. in fact, nobody's old! Out of all the numbers; millions, billions, quadrillions and more! Compare this with the oldest living being on earth.. is it even close to old ? No. Besides, just like what you said: "Age is just a number". It's just a number Jamie. And remember when I told you I will keep on bugging you no matter what when you're down in the dumps ? Well this is the time.

YOU'RE BY FAR THE BRAVEST, GREATEST, COOLEST, AWESOME FRIEND EVER! (you too Karen and Carl ;-) ) DON'T EVER UNDERESTIMATE YOURSELF.

You're worth every breath you take. And that poetry up there, yeah, it's awesome but that poetry doesn't describe you at all because I know you and you're so so far away from that.

You're worth every single space, breath and hope just like everyone else.
