Anxious Day

Been poking around website for my State's Board of Ed. I am afraid I will not get hired this year, as there are several hoops to jump through. If they require education classes, I am sunk for this year. if they accept my prior teaching, it will be well. I need to call, but am anxious about it.

I just ordered another study book for social studies, since that is more comfortable for me. I cannot take the test until Late May/June.

Also, I cut my own bangs last night and they look terrible.

no doubt about that. i find irish woman pretty (:
i feel like they don't need to try to make themselves look beautiful whilst asians try tons of make up and just spoil their face rotten to make them look pretty. not that i use make up.. i hate them.

when there's something that i have to do but i'm scared to do it, i'll either procrastinate or go for it. depends on what it is tho.. like the school problem with me mom, she still doesn't know. it's more than procrastinating... i know it's bad that's why i try my best to find a way out no matter what.

i go for it and ask her explaining on tons of other reasons to her (excluding the shutting down part tho). i was nervous the whole time and i thought she'd find out that i was lying but turns out i could be quite of an actor after all.. hehe.

you should just go for it. i don't want you to have any further complications in the future so put that mess in your suitcase and go to that building like a boss who knows everything. ok, maybe not everything but you get the picture.

do what's right. i know you can do this. hugssss..

I am the biggest procrastinator, in the past if I've had to make a phone call that I dread I have put it off for days then always regret doing it.

Now I usually just go for it as if I don't I know how I'll feel...worse than before.
I find that raising my voice a little helps and makes me feel more assertive, not shouting, just raised a little.

As for the bangs!! reminds me of the time my mom put tape across my sister's bangs when she was little and the cut ended up sideways....when I was younger my hair had to be perfect or it was a bad day, now I think oh whatever and go on about my day, maybe go to a salon and get them to fix your bangs a little.

I hate phone calls too. I have a phobia about phones, I don't know why... I think I am just scared to talk to people in general. Good thing for the forum. I am not anxious here.

A bit better today, thank goodness. Just subbed for a teacher who also entered the system while she was doing her PhD. She told me she worked directly with the county, and suggested I email HR. SO, I did.

Will let you know what happens.
