I hope that you are seeing a neurologist, if forget if you are or not.
Give the meds a chance.
I strongly suggest talk therapy, I have daily migraine pain along the the TN pain and the therapy has helped tremendously.
I also go to a depression support group. Took me months to go on a regular basis and get comfortable with the people but I did it.
Medications can help us but they can not do it all. We have to accept responsibility for our illness, own it and face up to handeling it. We can even over come it in a lot of cases.
