Have you ever practiced breathing when you feel anxious? It really helps!!! In through the nose and out through the mouth. Called smelling the roses and blowing out the candles.
It seems a lot of benzos make us sleepy. Ativan, Xanax, valium. They all have a sedating effect. I think if you practiced the breathing, maybe you wouldn't need the Ativan in the morning therefore you may not get so sleepy.
Learn about breathing for anxiety. It does help at least so you don't have to take as much of the antianxiety meds.
