I was on celexa for years but had to take Celebrex for severe arthritis. I was put on effexor about four years ago and no longer had to take Celebrex for pain. I have now been changed to wellbutrin and the pain is back. Would adding cymbalta help with pain?

Have you thought about trying the Celebrex again?

Talk to your doctor about it and see what they say. The wellbutrin may give you a little energy...

i did the cymbalta with my arthritis, no joy. i take panadol osteo and extend with coedine from ti,e to time as doc will not prescribe pain killers. i tried effexor, great anti dep but no joy with the arthritis either. doc says no to celebrex as i have gastro- osophegal reflux disease. not good on gut i am lead to believe. i hope you find something that helps. sending healing thoughts your way. ps. a big welcome from me too!!!

Cymbalta was great for my pain. Wellington has been good for my energy level. I've got severe arthritis but my age makes it unwise to take most arthritis medications and I can't take nsaids. Right now I take flexeril, tramadol, Wellbutrin, and Norco. My pain management dr just started doing injections into my spine to see if that will help with the severe lower back pain. I'll let you know how that works.

Cymbalta does help with my pain, however it is not for everyone.
Talk to your doctor about your choices.
