HOW to know your SSRI is working or not,so far have taken only Brintellix but my crying spells are persistent and not changing ,my heart racing is getting worse by time .

How to know if i need extra dose or different brand ?

any suggestions ,i need help and i know you are not a doc/nurse but i appreciate your willingness to write how you feel and what helped you over years as i am having hard time coping with depression and anxiety ?

I am indoors mostly and don't feel to talk to anyone /go anywhere ? sad

I have never been like this before ,its making me dsyfunctional depressed soul> confused cry cry sad

How long have you been on the Brintellix so far? Honestly this is something your doctor should know. It might not be the medication for you...

I found the changes to be very subtle. For most antidepressants it takes six to eight weeks for them to be fully working. I have never taken Brintellix and I don't know how long it takes to work. But if you are crying still and heart racing, then you aren't feeling better. But maybe you haven't been on it long enough. With this medication I think a talk with the nurse or doctor is in order.

How long have you been taking Brintellix Cilly? Do you feel worse on it than before you started it?

Did you ever take antidepressants before?

We are here to listen. Call your doctor if you are concerned. I know it bay be hard to make the call but you need to let them know how you're feeling. It'll be ok I promise

Do you have friends or family who are supporting you?

I have been on BRINTELLIX for 6 weeks now !
I don't have any idea but my doc wanted to change it to lexapro next month so i would wait 2more months before i go off or increase my dose ,need to talk to doc on this.
I don't know difference between one SSRI to another and how should i feel like as sleeping pill might cause racy heart too .
trying to do my research and see how i feel but i am unsure .My doc would not give me something which has been around for ages and tried on lot of ppl ,i don't know why ?
maybe need to change my doc but its a wait of 90 days so see a new doc in my area ,its frustrating.

the med might need a little more time, and an increase, if required will help you feel better sooner. keep being open with your doc. keep strong. healing thoughts to you.
