Have been having problems sleeping last 2 months. Started with life change and now is self-sustaining due to sleep anxiety (even when I am relaxed and thinking about something else I believe my body is either conditioned to no longer sleep properly or the sleep anxiety is in my subconscious because I'm stay awake unless medicated).
I was taking Zopiclone for 3 weeks, then 5-htp for 2 weeks, then 7mg of Remeron for a few nights, which worked initially.
Otherwise I would get less than 1 hour per night. 7mg of Remeron has now stopped working (had to take Zopiclone last night to rectify but I do have tabs left. My doctor prescribed me Remeron a few weeks ago and a different doctor gave me Zoloft.
My questions:
Will a different dose of Remeron make me sleep if 7mg no longer works? I hear you get less sleepy as you go up that's why I haven't upped it. I also don't like the idea of it stopping working within a few months, which is what most people say?
Will Zoloft work for my sleep anxiety? I know it can cause insomnia itself but I figure this is a different type of insomnia, if it removed anxiety for me I'm thinking maybe it could be a long-term solution?
Any opinions/experiences appreciated, thanks :)
