I have no idea if this is depression but my sister keeps telling me that I should try cipralex for my issues.
I am really irritable and easily angered especially towards my poor boyfriend. I also feel a bit OCD in different aspects of my life. I feel like when I think of something that has made me mad I HAVE to ask him about
it and I can't stop thinking about
it until I address it.
We fight ALL the time because I can't let things go, I feel irritable and so things that shouldn't bother me do, I get offended easily etc.
Would taking something like Ciprlex maybe help me?

Hello,
I am sorry for the troubles that you are having. I really believe that you need to talk with a doctor about
these issues, where as none of us are doctors we will can only share our opinion. Your doctor can diagnose the problem and help to fix things also. As for a medication, this all depends and on your doctor and how your body handles the medicine. Please talk to your doctor and find the cause of the problem it maybe depression and it may not be. Hoping you are getting better and the help you need.

Sure, it could be depression. The word doesn't mean just sad, you know. It also means inability to take pleasure or joy out of things. It means irritated, snappy. It means angry. It means tired. So, yes, it could be depression. It means doing things out of character, due to fatigue, not caring anymore, or anger.
Your best bet is to start the process with your primary care physician. S/He can get the ball rolling with getting you an appointment with a psychiatrist. Then they can assess what is going on. We are not doctors here, so we cannot diagnosis.

welcome.
It could be depression, could be hormones or thyroid. You need to discuss the situation with your doctor and get a physical if you have not had one in a long time.
Do know that all medications may work for one person and not another. We are all different and react in different ways to medication.
Peace and strength

Hey Jackie...My first thought is hormonal fluctuation. I completely agree that you need to consult your PCP. Have you ever had a lab work-up to check hormone levels? If they are out of sync, our emotions go haywire.
