Hello. I keep forgetting to introduce myself before commenting on what others have posted. I've been dealing with severe depression with suicidal thoughts for quite a few years now. Tried a couple of anti depressants but they gave me Vertigo. I've been off meds for about 5 years and manage well enough most of the time but still have some really bad stretches. Glad to know there is this place to come to as an added resource.

Welcome, are you a Nascar Pit Mom or a dog Pit Mom? I have my second Pittie mix [with english bull dog] so she is extra sweet! Love the breed.

Just a note, we can not talk in detail about the dark times, although we can mention it and talk about the skills and things we do to get through, because they always do end.

If you ever need to talk in detail as some folks do, if you click on our user id our profile with come up with an email address, feel free to use that, especially since you are not on meds.

Our resource thread at the top of the forum is another wonderful place to go. 4-5 pages of good stuff including book recommendations.

oh, and before I forget (an issue with me), I am a dog pitmom. my e.s.a. is pit/boxer mix.

Welcome, kiddo!

I am a middle-aged female who has hereditary depression/anxiety issues. With medication, I can usually manage, kindof, you know, sorta. The past three years have been not-so-good, and I am hoping my luck is too change.
