You ever think MAKE it stop!

The Amtk 188 derailed last night 10 min out from 30 th st station Philadelphia. 6 people lost their lives. 6 people I don't know or would ever think about except they trusted US to get them home. This brings back the memories of 9/11 and the weeks after and the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. In those however WE stepped up to aid our counrty our people. This like those times ...hurts. If you don't have pride in your work , you have the wrong job. I am eternally greatful to first responders you have been and always will be my heros. Thank you to all first responders everywhere. The " Carrier" traditionally will stay silent until all the investigations are complete. This isn't unusual. I won't know no more than is released to the press. I think WE may have lost an engineer I hope I am wrong. My opinions this is something extraordinary and very wrong for this to happen. Press has speed as a factor. The other factor is human activity. I have stopped people from putting coins on the track because in rare cases THIS IS THE RESULT. It could be as simple as mischievous adolescent who wanted to see what ( fill in blank) looked like after a train hit it. NOT CUTE. EVER. I don't know enough about it to say. Conjecture begins to replace facts because the facts are sensitive enough to hold back from public view. And in respect to the grieving families. But I grieve for not knowing. There is comfort in the facts. Where the science is paramount. Politians will use this as leverage. It makes me ill. It all makes me ill. This isn't normal. This isn't how WE do things. This is a terrible tradgedy for many.
Those memories of things I went through as mentioned before come back. The feeling of utter helplessness. Where else could I go to vent ? Thanks everyone

I actually was spoken to after the hurricane. HE spoke to me if HE hadn't I might have cracked completely. I think HE is busy but HE will return my call. HE always does! Thank you. It is a burden. The ox is tired.

But as I dawn my blue uniform today. I buttoned my vest. With pewter button blazoned with the flight of an arrow ,our brand, I know that today will be a challenge for people to climb aboard after the images have displayed in every channel. I will be there to offer any assistance I can. I go to do my part. I think that there is a certain solace in this alone. But I do it with a humble heart. A heavy heart. Rest will come in time.

It is too soon to be ready for hard and cold facts. We will have them eventually, but it is best for sometime to elapse,so that the brain can objectively process fact. Right now it is emotion.

Time is needed for that in our lives.
