Do you HAVE to shower every morning? I'm not talking compulsive, just in general? Frequent showering is actually not good for our skin. Two or three times a week is actually sufficient.
With so many choices of body washes these days, perhaps you could find a scent that would make it a more agreeable 'chore'.
My bathtub drains slowly and as a result, the whole thing must be cleaned after all of the water has drained which sometimes takes several hours! There are three of us in this house! Having to clean out the tub every time makes us all not even WANT to shower!
One of the surest signs of depression for me is lack of bathing and hair washing. Actually, lack of self care in all of it's many forms.
Shaving leaves a mess too. So, perhaps it's the mess you hate? Or maybe it's just having to 'conform'?
I hope you find a solution. Different scent, different method (electric razor as opposed to standard) some nice aftershave? Play some nice music while you perform your morning routine? Plan on a 'treat' on the way to work as a reward? Shower at night, shave in the morning? Treat yourself on your days off?
