It takes time and hard work to start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It doesn't happen quickly. We all have different situations, but I found when I started just taking life one day at a time and living in the moment, things became a lot easier. There are always going to be bumps in the road for somebody who is depressed. It takes time.
Every time you end up back at square one, it gets easier to get going again, but we always come back to the starting place to begin again. And there is always a new day.
We all need constant maintenance, that is a part of living. It gets easier with age and with experience. We learn what we need and we incorporate that into our daily lives. If you just sit there like a bump on a log, you aren't going to get anywhere. Not that you are, just saying. We have to take care of ourselves, shower, do errands, cook meals, it is a lot of work just staying alive, but eventually we come to enjoy these things.
A lot of us feel the same way as you. Like we don't belong here or we aren't suppose to be here. I feel that could be a little anxiety, it was for me.
Nobody really knows what is what. They just appear to. We are all learning every day. We are all a work in progress. We are just at different levels.
As you get older, you tend not to worry about this stuff. At least I don't. I just go on from day to day, figuring things out as I go. I am content... Try to go with the flow of life. It is a lot easier that way.
I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs, Karen...
