Call your doctor's practice tomorrow. Not email. It's hard, I know it is. But the real HARDEST thing is knowing when to ask for help, and allowing others to give it to you. People would love to help you--but you do have to let them know, in no uncertain terms, what is happening with you.
Call and tell them it is an emergency. That you need some help today, not next week.
When I first separated from ex-hubbie, I was a mess. Crying, not sleeping, obsessing. Then I had my gall bladder burst and I had to have surgery. Absolutely unrelated. By the time my recovery from the surgery was over, I was able to be a bit more objective.
Point being--you have had surgery, of a sort. An emotional removal. It is not a weakness of character, but one of a traumatic event. You need to recover from the trauma. Time will do that, but there is no shame in needing to ask fro help.
So, please, put on your big person pants, and be direct and ask your PCP for help.
