Losing the Faith

Maybe in the future you will be able to have pets if that is what you would like Andy. They sure do help as far as not feeling so alone at times. My dog seems to be very sensitive to my emotions, even before I notice how I am feeling. Perceptive to say the least.

Often having a pet gives us someone to care about. I am sure when the time is right, you will find one that suits you.

Can you maybe have a fish? Just a suggestion. If that is what you want and need.

I miss having animals. Some life-styles are conducive to living with an animal, others are not. But they are great comfort, especially when you live alone. We traveled too much previously, and now we live in an urban area in an apartment.

Nature has not 'forgotten their original programming'. I think that's why watching nature makes me more peaceful. The bird does not envy the squirrel. We all need more harmony. Less greed.

Crutches are not a bad thing. They can help us heal. Help us navigate when injured.

I read somewhere once that "those we depend upon too heavily will either flee, or die." The trick is to learn to use the crutches when needed, but to put them down when we are healthy again.

What a person believes in is such a personal thing. There is no 'right' or 'wrong', there is only now. What I think and what I believe is always subject to change as long as I am open minded and willing to remain teachable. Things that used to 'work for me' like my parents saying 'because I said so' don't necessarily work for me today. What works today may not work tomorrow. If I try nothing, I will learn nothing.
