From decent day to rotten, in just a few hours.

The day was okay, not great but okay. Then it tanked, fast. But that is how it is,and as long as no one is hurt or dead, it's a victory.

Thought I could re-use my fingerprints/background check for new job. I had them done twice in the past two years since I have been working with kids. Apparently I have to do it, or re-re-do it. The rub is that I can't get to it after subbing, if I work a whole day. The latest appointment is 2:30, and the earliest schools let out here is 2:15.I could conceivably make it if I was in one of the schools in town. So, I might not be able to pick up work for tomorrow. It's a small thing, really-the fingerprints are for a full-time job, which trumps a 7 hour day in a classroom.

Then I go to the dentist for a cavity. It turns out that the cavity is on a tooth with a crown. They had to take off the crown, deal with the cavity, and put a temporary crown on top. Then I have to pay for a new crown.I think as I am sitting in the chair, well, gee, that is going to be expensive. Guess what? It was!

So the remainder of the appointment my body tensed and tensed,and now it is whining at me.

But,again, it's just money.A lot of it, but just these papers and metals that our society puts a lot of faith in.

I need to breathe.

Dinner tonight is fritatta/omelet--swiss chard and a small dab of leftover salmon (not the band,the fish.) We do meatless Mondays.

I need to make lunches for tomorrow, and was going to make and freeze some pesto.

I learned years ago to not worry about things if I can have no control over their outcome. I forget this lesson sometimes. It takes a little while to remember--all is really well unless someone is hurt.

Did you get snow this weekend? We had chili last night, BF was trying out a new recipe.

Chili is nice during rain and storm.

I punched my clocked radio in a dream and it was on the other side of the room, and a a beautiful photo of deb, which remained intact, as did the clock radio!! I have strangled the alien hose a few times due to a nasty dream. I hear ya about ya. snow would be so refreshing, I would dive straight on in. yes, keep strong guys. the turtle.
