Pregabalin/lyrica?

Has anyone taken this drug for anxiety and pain? I have been getting significant pain in my chest from heartburn but I also suspect it is caused by stress at times even with no actual reflux. I am not sleeping much at all at the moment and the stress from this is increasing my pain which now is coming on when I lie down to relax or sleep. Not being able to lie down and d my relaxation exercises without getting stressed is sending my anxiety through the roof as my main coping tool has been taken away from me :(

I haven't taken Pregabalin but I am on Gabapentin which is its cousin. I am taking it for anxiety and mood boosting/motivation. The first week I had pretty weird side effects (being too sleepy one day, being too hyper the next)... but after that, everything evened out and now all it does is takes away my anxiety. :)

The only advice I have is to make sure if you ever go off the drug that you taper very slowly. Apparently it can be hard to withdraw from, although some people have no trouble.

Sorry I don't have info on Pregabalin specifically, but it should work very similarly, if I understand correctly.

lyrica I know is a pain med, not sure about anxiety. keep strong.

Thanks, discussed it with my Dr yesterday and he said for now we're just trying double nortriptyline, and leave pregabalin as a back up as I'm already on 2 sedating drugs. I'm to just take cocodamol for the pain when bad as I have been for a few days and hopefully the pain will settle once my stress levels from lack of sleep hopefully start to reduce.

I tried it for pain when it first came out. I was up to the max of 600mg a day. Was not working very good for me.

I developed dark moles all over my body. They were benigne.

I went off the drug cold turkey per doctor, on to cymbalta. Moles were gone with in a month.

I have nerve damage in my head.
