For those who celebrate, Happy Easter! I'm sorry I was away for a few weeks, but things have been very chaotic here. Last time I was around I wrote about how my "check engine light" was on in my car; and then went away after my oil was changed. Well, two weeks ago today the light came back on and my car died. It ended up being my transmission, and for the amount of mileage I had, it was not worth the hefty bill to fix. My parents helped me to get a rental car, and yesterday helped me to purchase a 2010 vehicle. I should be getting it mid this week. Very stressful time with lots of anxiety.

Michelle, it is so nice to see you posting. I know you have been looking forward to moving for awhile now. How far away is it from where you are now? Will you have to look for another job?

Myself, I am really sorry to learn about your job. But I like your attitude of how you are handling it. I've had jobs that haven't been the best fit in the past too, and I know how stressful that can be. At least you know that you gave it your all.

Jamie...I am sorry you have been struggling more lately. I have been saying prayers for you.

Karen, I hope your snow has melted away by now. Ours has, and it is really nice to see some signs of spring.

Pitmom: is it possible for you to post pictures of your garden with lights and your kitchen? I'd love to see how it's coming along!

Joyce: I'm sorry to hear of your car troubles as well. I am so glad to hear that your sons are able to help you. And I am sending prayers for both you and your husband as I know how much you need them. ((((Hugs)))).

I am beyond sad. I found my cat curled up in one of his favorite spots in the garden. He had died. Now, he will be in my garden forever.

I had always wanted to plant sea holly but could never find any at the garden center. Today, we found bare root for sale at Walmart. It will be the perfect thing to plant as a marker. There are no coincidences.

We also found a clematis vine named "City of Lyon"...I used to call Pumpkin "My lion." So, this plant too shall be added to the garden in his memory.

Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Ear scratches Pitmom. He will be with you.

Thanks Cass--we keep moving forward. I have already had a couple of interviews, plus have picked up some SAT grading work. But Congrats on your new car!

Andy-coping skills and forward movement help for the depressed times.

Going to be in the 70's again today, but snow in the forecast! If you don't like the weather...wait a day or two...it will change!

Found the perfect lights for the arch now that the Easter decor has come down...little umbrellas! April showers!

Tomorrow is the baby shower for my grandchild! So excited!

My ex husband's widow will be there...not looking forward to that part of it. Pray for me please. Too much to explain, but this will be hard. Pray that I keep my focus where it belongs...on the joy of a new baby!

I hope your day and weekend is sunny, pitmom. Enjoy the shower-eyes on future, indeed. And may your garden respond to the sun! I planted some seeds--waiting...

Karen--let the sun come out. We were rainy earlier, but now is near 80 and sunny. Once we get further into the month, it will seem better--get warmer.

Hi, UA! Heading towards autumn your way, right? Hope things continue well.

A nice, affirming moment earlier. In craft store buying some supplies to make a poster for a march tomorrow, when dude comes up to me, tells me I am beautiful, and asks if I would like to talk. Seemed a not-crazy guy (officer recently transferred to the army base here--around my age.) I showed him my ring, but thanked him for the compliment. And he apologized. Ten minutes later, he approached me again, assured me he was not stalking, and gave me his number--just in case something happens in the future. I thanked him again for the wonderful compliment--it truly made my day. These things happen less and less in middle age.

Sometimes, even when we feel bad, things happen to lighten our load-whether they be mental or physical.

Off to the gym in a bit, then home to make my poster!

Hi to Everyone...

I ran off the road this morning. Got a bad drive from a very very very stupid and probably illiterate driver. Aaaaagrh! He was driving on the side of and. Guess he was on the wrong lane and suddenly pulled on me to exit onto the turn-off from the hi-way. Didn't he know he wanted to exit before?
I slammed brakes and pulled for him not to hit me. I ended up on the part of the shoulder and turn-off. I wish I had gotten his number plate. Trini's are the worst drivers...
Sorry for me venting...
