Can anyone tell me the trazadone medication though.

I got the trazadone medication to help with sleep ya. I got really tired after taking it. It even gave me a dry mouth though. I really don't like that ya. Does anyone know how long it will take it get away the side effect feeling though. Can anyone tell me about trazadone and your experience with it. Thanks.

My husband was on it for awhile, he didn't really like it but it put him in a better mood. Now he takes melatonin. I do meditation for sleep. Works for me.

Side Effects ought to diminish in the first two weeks. If they have not lessened or disappeared by a month in, then they may not. This is why doctors say 6-8 weeks, because this is how long a new medication needs to reach a useful level in your body.

I love my Trazodone. After decades of insomnia, it's so very very nice to sleep and awake refreshed. I've been taking it for over 10 years now. I had tried everything else first, believe me! Most sleeping medications make me hyper!

I have never noticed dry mouth, but you might try Biotene products (toothpaste, mouthwash, gum,..) for it. You can also try to make sure you aren't dehydrated - drink water!

Is it possible that you are sleeping deeply with your mouth open? That could give you a dry mouth. If that's the case, maybe add a humidifier to your bedroom?
