yeah. was a rough time in my life. self harming and suicidal. moreover I began to not eat and stuff, everything was a mess. I went and spoke to the gov shrink, my worker took me straight to hospital, the next day I had my first treatment. 6 is a basic course. you have a few the first week and a couple the next type thing. so, you fast, get in the gown, go to sleep and wake up, and you are like, I am next type, the nurse always said, oh sweetie you have been done. so like a second and it is over, little seizure of fingers and toes, just like rebootin ya computer. ok, groggy for a bit, and a sore head for a little, but it passes. I was quite vague for a bit. the treatments did help, but took a little longer. I had both polars done each time. it is a procedure for persons whom are serverely depressed and at risk. memory issues are common with ECT. keep well. hope this helped.

memory does come back in the main. things always get refined, and I am sure ect has been since I had it. been awhile. look at the side effects of meds on ya bottle!!! it's not for everyone. but if recommended by ya shrink / doc I would seriously consider it.
