I am really devastated. I don't even know what to do. Back in July I started with a new pdoc. I really like her and she seemed to understand and to listen to me. I called her once regarding one of my meds and she called me back on a Sat. afternoon and left a message. I have called her regarding another problem twice but she never returned my call. It was not any little itty bitty thing either. Well a while back she mentioned (if I remember correctly) that 2 of my meds could cause a rise in blood pressure. It ususally is low. Well I started watching it. I mentioned it to her 2 weeks ago at the end of the appt. but I was not really worried about
it. Well Sunday I had it taken by a nurse at church and it was 141/100. She was really concerned about
the lower #. Well Mon. I called late and left a message and I know they were writing it down as she repeated it back to me. As of mid day today I still had not heard from her so I called and left a message. At this point it is 6pm and I still have not heard from her. I do know she works long hours. One time I was her last patient and she and I were the only ones left and it was 7pm. I felt very lucky to have found her. My dad's dr. recommended her and his dr. is really good. I do not want to start over with anyone else. Everyone I had tried to get into before I found her was at least a 2 month wait. I was lucky at that time as I was able to get right into see her as she took new patients on Saturdays and they had an
opening on a holilday weekend. One friend said that I should go thru my primary dr. first because of the blood pressure and let him handle that part. I can understand that, and I actually did and saw him today. I guess I called her first because she said 2 of the meds could cause this so thought I should talk to her first. Right now I feel unimportant because I have never heard from her. I do not know if she is not getting the messages, not getting full messages or just deciding not to call. In my message today I said I was thinking of going off the meds because I was worried about
the blood pressure. I know that 2 weeks ago I saw my t and she had had me sign a release the week before so she could talk to the pdoc and had called her and faxed her something but as of 2 weeks ago, had not heard from her. There was one time I called back regarding the first incident and the gal took my message and said that the dr. didnt say anything when she read the message but I can't believe a dr. would blow it off if someone is having problems such as the chest pain (not major pains), when a med they are on can cause heart problems and the blood pressure rising. Any advise? I should say that I am not one to call the dr. all the time or over ever little thing. Thanks.
