So, this morning, I'm trying to help a neighbor jump start their car when the husband says to me "What's leaking under your truck?" Turns out it was power steering fluid. Ugh.
I can't fill my prescription for my pain meds until I can get a ride to the drug store. Okay, fine. So, I get on with my usual routine, strip the slip cover off the couch and put it in the washer, clean the litter boxes, sweep the floor...and the washer starts making the most awful noise!
During this chaos, the mail comes and I get a letter from a bank I've never heard of, thanking me for being a loyal customer and explaining their privacy policy. I call the 800 number and ask for a local branch. They give me a North Carolina exchange. I haven't lived in N.C. for over 30 years! I call and am told they have another customer, same name but different social security number (we only discussed the last 4 digits). They are not sure how I got the mailing.
I'm back on the computer, trying to diagnose the washer myself...it's the drain pump. So, I try to find a video on it...but my washer is the latest model and there are none! One other video mentions the filter, however, so I get my owners manual and sure enough, mine has a filter! Never knew this! I get it out to clean it and there is so much pet hair in it, it's as though someone has stuffed a thick piece of felt into it!!!!!!! I get on the phone with Sears and we run another rinse cycle, hoping that now that the filter has been cleared the noise will have stopped.............nope. At least I'm under warrantee and the technician will come on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the hospital where I am to have my procedure done day after tomorrow calls while I'm on with Sears. I still have to call them back. They have insurance questions.
I'm in so much pain and feeling foolish for not knowing about the filter, frustrated because I can't even drive myself to pick up my pain medication. Yeah, one of those days. Thanks for letting me vent. I'm gonna go cry now.
