Hi all, I'm in the Lyme forum but wanted to jump here for a question. I take 5mg lexapro for anxietyand a bit of depression due to Lyme. I've read that tryptophan can interact with SSRI's. After digging around I realized almost everything I eat has tryptophan. I follow a high protein/low carb diet. When they say tryptophan can interact with an SSRI do they just mean tryptophan supplements? Or does it literally mean tryptophan from foods is bad?
