It’s good that you did reach out.
It’s good that you have hobbies and play sports. I’ll assume that you had it kinda rough in earlier years.
Are you able to look at some of the things that may have happened and do you feel that is what may be causing some of your problems?
Are you able to come to terms with any of that?
Is there any way to say, “OK, that wasn’t my fault?”
Is there any way you can forgive/understand, in that you don’t have to hold anger?
Is there any way you can take care of yourself, as perhaps others did not. Can you take care of the child within? Is there anyway you can go back and rescue that child? Can you work with children or adults, say in a volunteer position at a hospital, who have been through difficult times?
When I had depression once, I fell down, and rolled in a somersault.
When I came up from that, I thought, “Yeah, but I’m still depressed,” meaning, the roll forward had not knocked me out of my depression. That feeling that nothing could knock it out.
Well, I found an anti-depressant that helped. I’m now on Mirtazapine, 7.5 mg., and Lithium, for my manic-depression. Have you ever taken an anti-depressant, or any such meds?
