[Insight] Being depressed means being realistic

We are actually seeing life as it is. There is nothing wrong with us. The problem is with the happy people who live in their bubble of illusions. I mean just look at the world: wars, manipulation, illness, boredom, chaos, etc. This is life.
Anybody trying to sell us a cure is a charlatan, weather he knows it or not.

I live in a bubble and I love it. I know about all the bad things in the world. I know that I alone can't do anything about it. So I got my little world of pleasantries. I am not a hermit by any means. But I keep to myself enough to keep my life drama free and that works for me.

I take medications that work. I use skills to fight depression. I work on mindfulness and do meditation and for the most part I am happy. My life is far from perfect but it is livable. And not that bad.

I go to counseling regularly.

We all have tools, and if we don't we need to gather some. Depression doesn't just go away, you have to work hard at it.
