Headaches everyday cause for depression

When a person awakens each new day knowing a headache is immanent it wraps one in such despair. Most days my degenerative disc disease causes pain at the point my head attaches to the back of my neck. My dr. calls them cervicogenic headaches.

These headaches quickly grow very painful. They tend to last all day and if not properly medicated they never seem to deminish. The worst part is the nausea which also induces dizziness and imbalance. Once the headache starts at the back of my head it will also spread around to my forehead and eyes.

I know others here suffer from headaches as I see them listed in their signatures. I so look forward each day to these type headaches....NOT!!!

What do you take for the headaches? Just curious. I am sorry it gives you nausea. I always get that from my migraines. Usually to the point of throwing up. But I take migraine over the counter medication that seems to work. It has caffeine in it too which often gets me going. I usually get them in the morning. I think it is from sinus.

I have a friend that takes the fioricet for migraines. I am lucky the OCT works for me. So far anyway. I absolutely hate headaches especially with nausea.

I hope that the meds keep keeping the headaches at bay.
