giving medication to my sister?

My sister was a girl full of life and really joyous ever since i can remember, she is 21. For 2 years she has been dating a guy who is a bad guy. [that's how my mum called him] well he is into bikes and looks like he's into drugs and he smokes but my sister always said that he was sweet and tender with her etc etc.... My mother and sister fought a LOT about it for months and months and the atmosphere was so tensed that we could feel it [father and i].. my father could say nothing as mother got heated up.. well to make a story short, mother accepted the guy reluctantly as my sister wanted to leave the house if mother didn't accept.. the problem is that the guy just left her... about 2months ago.. after 2 years of dating.. my sister was completely and is still completly in love with him and since that day, she's not going out at all... she graduated from uni last fall and now she's no longer looking out for jobs and she's not doing anything at home.. except staying in her room... mother or i have to go to her to give her meals etc... lately my mother has been feeling really guitly as she thinks that she should have stopped her... it seems like i'm the only one sane at home.. my father also is very affected by my mother's "guilt"... being alone at night, i've searched for some medication for depression that i could buy online without my parents' knowledge [i'm 19] and then give my sister just to save her but i don't know if it's possible.. the mediciine is called mindsoothe for depression that i've found at  ... do any of you know of that pharmacy and the product?? i can't go to the family doctor as my mother would feel betrayed by me. i only want to help them and i want us to be a happy family again.. without the ghost of josh [that ex bf]

You are taking great steps to help your sister: she's lucky. A post here might help. Please take care of yourself: you need your health for yourself and to help sister.

I'm no physician. I have read 2 reliable sources (on medscape.com) mentionning that St-John's Wort (part of the drug you were looking up is associated with a reduction in the efficacy of birth pill. Are there other side effects ? Please be careful.

Your family situation sounds very difficult, with your mom and dad's feelings. They have to recognize their daughter is ill, beyond their feelings and that she needs help. Your sister might have different health problems : thyroid gland, mononucleosis, hypoglycemia. I do not mean to scare you by raising these issues. But these might be easier health concerns to motivate your parents to act by helping your sister to see a physician.
Taking this all on your one must be very difficult. Are there local community groups that might ? In my area (Montréal, Québec, Canada), one group evens offers workshops for family members, so they can learn to accept and cope.

Please get outside support in your community. You are not alone in this.
