Well, I'm on my fourth week of Lexapro now. It's amazing how fast time is flying, it feels like I was just posting here the other day about
being nervous about
my first appointment!
I definitely can say I feel some improvement. I'm not running around making friends and talking to everyone I meet, but I can go places alone without having a panic attack, I even joined a yoga class that I go to twice a week and really love it. I invited a girl from work to go but she was doing a hip hop dance class or something and the times conflicted, but oh well. It's better to not have anyone that I know there because I don't feel as self conscious!
Other than that I can say I feel in a better mood, I don't just sit around at work hemming and hawing or whatever the expression is :) and my boyfriend and I have generally been getting along a lot better. I bought a scale because I was terrified of weight gain but I haven't noticed any- if anything, I've lost a few pounds which is great. And no dimished sex drive or emotions which is cool too- I thought I would turn into a zombie, but so far so good.
Anyway, I just thought I would share with everyone. It doesn't feel so much like a really drastic change, but it's definitely an improvement, and that's all I wanted! Even better, I think it may be helping my colitis. Maybe that's wishful thinking, but the bleeding has stopped and I hardly ever go to the bathroom *knock on wood*
