I hate Father's day. All it does is dredge up the poison I try to put behind me of how my compulsive addictive behavior and its impact on my kids. The pain is too much to hear. Where is the alcohol and drugs. I want it to go away.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad day. I wish I could offer some useful advice, but all I know is you can't let drugs/alcohol win you over. In the end, it's just not worth it.

Sorry you are going through a hard time right now. I know it's the day after Father's Day but I wanted to say I hope you made it through it ok. Addictions can be so hard to overcome on good days let alone the emotional days. Hang in there.

Drugs and alcohol are never the answer. Just a delay that compounds the problems. But pain is still pain and sometimes I regret the journey traveled over the past 4 years to learn to feel emotions other than anger. While it is much better to feel alive, there are and will always be difficult days.

I understand what you mean Randy
It is not the answer but it does cover it up for a bit. The biggest problem though is the pain is still there the next day.
It just seems to never go away that is for sure.
How are you feeling today?
