Hobnob,
I ordered your book yesterday.
Me, I'm doing better. I spent a night down at Vanderbilt Hospital this weekend. I thought I was going to be there five days. While I'm not at all disappointed to get to come home four days early, I don't think I got all the information I went for. I was just diagnosed with epilepsy last summer and took early retirement from my job. I have myoclonic seizures, which are jerking of the extremities and they are always in the middle of the night when I am struggling to go to sleep. I have also had difficulty with bright lights and loud music. Basically, I thought I was going in to find out if I stayed in a situation with music and brights if I would have a seizure and also to find out why my seizures are still not under control after a year.
I really like my neurologist, but at a teaching hospital you see the residents and fellows when you are in for tests. All I basically learned is that I am not going to have a seizure from music and lights, it is just anxiety of the thought of having one in public, which I never have. I didn't learn anything else, so I'm a little frustrated and this doctor knew it and even called me at home on Sunday. I guess he knows I am going to give Dr. Arain, my neurologist my opinion of him, which at 56 years old, I pretty much do that any way. Dr. Arain did try to call me today and we played phone tag. I think when I talk to him or see him I will get more information.
No more venting!
