Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and like many on the topic of wight gain on zoloft, I too have gained weight, 16 lbs to be exact. I started taking 50mg of zoloft in May of 2007 and for the next two months my weight was under control. Up 3 or 4 lbs was not that big of a deal. However, my Dr. increased my dose to 100mg and that's when my weight gain soared to 16 lbs. over a period of about 30 days or so.
I have to admit that zoloft has helped me tremendously. I'm now able to sleep and have the energy to work out. I'm more relaxed and able to manage the daily stress from work. But, I continue to gain weight. I'm excercising 5-6 days a week (walking, jogging, strength training) and have improved my eating habits but still cannot lose any weight. It is driving crazy.
I've scheduled an appointment with my Dr. to discuss the possibility of switching to something different.
I'm very happy to have found this forum.

I am sorry Joe180, there isnt anything wrong with your post here or any reason for my edit...I am just a space cadet today. I was going to move it into the other Zoloft thread but decided against that since it was for those that has stopped the med. Since your still on it we can have a thread for those who have problems with weight loss while on Zoloft. Please forgive me....Thank you ~ Elisha
