Byetta and itching?

 Hi - Here I am again, still taking Byetta, losing weight too.  Got good news from eye MDs - no retinopathy or macular degeneration.  Am trying to get used to "monovision" since the cataract surgeries/lens implants - one eye distance, other eye near.  I need a middle eye too I think.  Anyway, I'm about to go on Byetta 10 mcg. (was on 5 mcg.).  Nausea & etc. pretty well gone, but I itch!!  I usually have itching anyway on legs, but now my back itches.  Anybody else have this problem?  No apparent rash, but (like my legs) I scratch and break the skin.  This seems to come and go, unrelated to anything I can think of.  I do sleep with my dogs (blush) but I am single so I need the company.  We don't have fleas (me & dogs).  Anyway, don't tell anybody about me and the dogs but let me know if you itch too.  Thanks!!

Hi Lanie: My dogs are miniature dachshunds, long hair, a boy and a girl. I live in FL, so during the dry season, which is now, my lower legs itch and if I scratch I get scratch marks. No sores or ulcers, and circulation is good. Now my back itches and I just wondered if it was from the Byetta. If so, it isn't as bad as the legs. If I use moisturizing cream daily, I'm a lot better, so I'd better get on that regimen again. Also - have lost about 12 lbs so far on Byetta 5 mcg but the weight loss seems at a standstill now; hopefully the Byetta 10 mcg will help me lose the rest. My blood sugar is way down around 100 now and I'm sure the MD will be pleased, as I am. Have gotten back to eating low carb, low fat, which I did in the past and which controlled my weight well. My Medicare HMO is giving free membership to health club, so I will start going there to exercise (I HATE to exercise), but I need to do it. I would rather be chased by a rabid pit bull though.
