Hi there I am new to the diabetes forum, but not to healingwell.
Matter of fact as far as I know I do not have diabetes, however is was suggested I come visit the Diabetic forum as I am told many diabetic people have this problem. If you are familiar with Gastoparesis, then you know what it is, if not it is where they (techinicians in hospital) feed you these radioactive scrambled eggs, and can tell how fast your stomach empties, if it empties real slow you have gastroparesis. Just like with diabeties you are very limited on some of the food you can eat as you stomach doesnt digest very fast and some foods will worsen it making you very sick and vomit. For some this is on a daily basis, I have been put on some meds to help me, so I am down to vomiting maybe every few weeks, instead of everyday now. Reglan helps the food digest faster ,with help of erothomyicin , so I now vomit less often now. What I am wondering is this true of diabetics having this, if so I would I would like to know how some of you deal with it, and the diets, what helps you?
Another question I have is can a person be diabetic and still have all their numbers be perfect? I have been tested for diabetes several times, since seem to fit the profile so well, and have many of the same symtoms, that my doctors sware I have diabetes, and then evrything turns up complelty normal.
If anything I get drops in my blood sugar and tend to be borderline hypoglycemic. I eat small meals through out the day. I cant eat much meat, bread, or dairy. These are many of the foods that trigger my gastroparesis. Anyways wanted to say hello, and see if anyone over here experiences this, and what do you do? Anythoughts would be helpful, Its only been less than a year that I have been suffering from the Gastroparesis, or that I know about, I used to could eat anything and not worry about, them bam all the sudden I am very limited in what I can eat, seems like came on so fast.
Ok thanks for listening and any replies are welcome.......
