I eat very strangely. I don't hardly ever have an apetite during the day so I need to remember to eat. I recently got a type II diabetes diagnosis. I also have hashimoto's thyroiditis (hypothyroidism) and thyroid cancer. Now my doctor wants fasting numbers when I get up in the morning. I have looked around the internet and most say fasting should be at least 8 hours. My problem is is that at night I never sleep all night and I never go without taking a couple bites of food when I wake up at night. At that time, I will feel extremely hungry but I never feel that way any other time. So needless to say, I don't go 8 hours at night without food. I do, however, go 8 to 12 hours during the day without food. So, do I take my fasting measures during the day instead of morning? Does sleep play into fasting in anyway?
