Sorry to have totally deserted you all... Just beyond busy here. Daughter who suffered a spinal cord injury from the birth of her baby last year lost her home to foreclosure and she and hubby and bubby moved in with us Dec. 22nd. Teething toddler, new baby locks on EVERYTHING, house full of people, take a number for the shower, run the dishwasher every day instead of twice a week, and....

Bride appointments coming out of my ears, bridal show I produce on the 18th, food plan is down the tubes, no time to shop, hardly time to cook for six... It's CRAZY here! I wish there were 36 hours in the day. Say a prayer for me when you have a minute. I think of you all often...

Jeannie,

Make sure in all that commotion that is going on in your daily live with your family and work you still make sure to take the time to take care of yourself so your health doesn't suffer. I know it's hard, but you need to do it. If you don't you all will suffer eventually if you also become ill.  Hang in there and be strong.  Hope your daughter is doing better too.

Good morning, and Happy New year Jeannie!

Were your ears burning?  cuz yesterday I posted in fibro that I hadnt seen you about and was wondering if anyone else had seen you.

We figured you were extremely busy.  Dont worry, you are always in my prayers girl.  Just dont push yourself too hard Jeannie, you know how high the price will be nono   You have 2 MAJOR stresses going on by the sounds of things.  Dont forget to take care of you, and just remind yourself that this too shall pass.  I hope this 2009 is an amazing year for you, and everyone here. :-)

You're a saint, Jeannie. Best of luck. I wish I could send you some of the 100F day we're going to have tomorrow. We would be happy to offload a bit of sunshine (and heat!) to anyone who wants it :-)

Australia, right, Brian? It's actually 6ºF (yes! That's six degrees!) here right now, over 20 inches of snow on the ground and it's going to get colder for the next few days.... We have three foot icicles hanging from the eves on our roof! Isn't the world a neat place? Almost 100º difference between two places at the same time....

Oooh, that's cold! Well, since then we had a day which reached 42c (around 107F)! Yes, still in Australia, which is much better than the film of the same name, apparently. I hope you can stay warm and sane, though not necessarily in that order.

It's getting better every day. Yesterday the kids went back to their old home to get some things. (It's in a phase called 'short sale' so they don't have to make house payments and eventually will get sold or go back to the mortgage company.) Their old place is about an hour away and they were gone most of the day. Amazing how empty the house was without that little bugaboo bouncing around like a rubber ball. Quiet, too.

Although we are busy, I'm loving having them here. Life is good.

Had my yearly physical yesterday and doc says "thumbs up!" All systems are go! tongue Just wanted to increase my Lipitor so no problems there.

Thank you all for caring. You are my lifeline on earth. The Good Lord helps but sometimes He offers me encouragement through all of you.

I'm so glad to hear things are getting better each day. Isn't it amazing how quiet the house can get when the little ones are gone? I know my house is silent when my little niece isn't there (she's over a lot).

My house repairs are finally done (major hurricane damage-roof, garage, kitchen and bathroom floors). I count my blessings every day because I look around and see so many folks still without homes, blue tarps still cover thousands of homes, etc.

Life is good.
