low blood pressure

hi just wonderind have a friend that blood pressure is low he is insulin dependent

and was on cozar and his own doc told him drop down half his dose he was taking

100mg would u think this is right still blood pressure very low is this normal any help

would be grateful thanks

mull, this is really a question he needs to ask his doctor. I think our opinions here on the Diabetes Forum would be just a layman's opinion. Not all diabetics take blood pressure medicine. He can also ask his pharmacist how long it takes for this medication to even out in his system. It might take a little time (hours? days?) for the 100 mg cozar to leave his system. You might ask the question in the Heart and Cardio Forum. There might be folks there who are familiar with this med.

I take blood pressure meds and when this has happened to me it is because my potassium is low. Please don't take this as the only reason as it is just what happens to me. He needs to get more info. from his dr.
