Thanks Lani,
Even better news and even more stoked! After a couple of weeks at one MetFormin per day and good numbers, last week Naomi decided to cut out the MetFormin altogether. Since then my numbers have been very consistent at >110 in the mornings and low 90s at night.
Since my type two was steroid induced, and once off the steroids, it usually resolves, I think that is what happened. My PCP said it would take a few months, and after six months steroid free, I had thought that “usually” didn’t apply to me and I had resigned myself to the life of a type two. I learned to be more careful with my diet and began planning my routines around my finger sticks. I still can’t abide by exercise, and lead a rather sedentary life, so that’s a negative. But overall it hasn’t been a bad experience.
Now that it looks like my steroid diabetes has resolve, I still remain a pre-diabetic, and can’t afford to fall back to my old habits; and I still need to watch my diet, but since I've been pre for years now, I should have been doing that anyway.
All in all, it’s been a positive experience, and has taught me a valuable lesson. Now if I could just bring myself to get on the treadmill a couple of times per week, life would be grand.
