Have you seen your doctor about this? If so what were his/her recommendations? Have you had lab tests?
Normally for people who are hypoglycemic, eating smaller meals more often in the day (and at regular times, not haphazardly) helps keep the blood sugar more level without a lot of spikes and dips - which is what the goal is. So, to avoid hypos, you need to stay away from the obvious high carb food and drinks especially when taken alone, snacking on chips and soda, for example.
Simple sugars will cause spikes and food made with sugar and flour will also do this. There really is such a thing as a sugar rush and that can produce a hypo in some people.
You should carry some glucose tabs or gel if this is happening to you. However, it's best to prevent it the best you can by avoiding eating/snacking on pure carbs.
