I have had anxiety and hypoglycemic for many years – they seem to run together. Well I just passed into Type II diabetes so my doctors told me to stop chips and after dinner treats. I don’t eat tons or after every meal but my wife loves sugar and I cant resist a
cookie if she leaves the bag out.
So for three days I have eaten normally with slightly smaller helping of carbs and no chips or treats. For two day now I feel like I am going to have a seizure, Internally quiver, and yesterday my anxiety went sky high and I wanted to kill people.
Could a small change in diet with lower carbs do this

I really doubt it. If a person's blood sugar had been extremely high for awhile and then goes down to normal, that person might feel a little uneasy and even shaky as the body is getting used to normal blood sugar and then those feelings will go away. I think the feelings you're describing of "internally quiver" and wanting to "kill people" are related to something else and they need to be addressed.
First of all, I suggest you see both your medical doctor and a psychologist to get this sorted out. What has your blood sugar been?

The doctor I just saw is the one who told me what to stop eating. I am a psychologist.
My blood sugar is 135 fasting and will go over 200 with a high carb meal

Oh my goodness! You're a psychologist? Well, please look into your thoughts because they are not related to your blood sugar in my opinion.
Now, your blood sugar is something that's way too high, and this is physical. Blood sugar is related to your diet, but it's very odd that the only thing your medical doctor told you was to stop chips and dinner treats. So, please read the stickies at the top of the Diabetes Forum. I will post another website dedicated to blood sugar after I post this one.
In short, you do need to cut down on carbs because they are making your blood sugar much too high. Blood sugar running that high for certain periods of time can hurt some organs (heart, kidneys, eyes, circulation...). People who have had bouts of hypoglycemia in the past do tend to slip into insulin resistance and diabetes later on.
Since you are monitoring your blood sugar, you will see that changing what you're eating will have a direct effect. Try cutting down on those carbs (anything made of flour and sugar, and potatoes and corn); eat more vegetables, greens (salad), a reasonable piece of protein, some nuts, and cheese.
By the way, I hope your wife has also seen her doctor and had lab tests done with blood sugar included.
And about
those thoughts: people who have been living for awhile with high blood sugar have some odd feelings when their blood sugar finally comes down to normal. This is not unusual. Those feelings might be similar to others who experience extremely high blood sugar, too. It might be shakiness, unease, even headaches but as the body gets used to normal blood sugar, those feelings [should] go away.
I feel it is always best to try to control blood sugar with diet and exercise first before being put on medication. This can be done but you do have to be very dedicated to watching what you eat.
Please ask any questions here. I am sure we can help sort things out.

You also might want to go to Drugs.com and check out medications that you are taking that could give you that quivering feeling and the other thoughts. You would be amazed what meds can do to you.
I do agree with Lanie that this isn't being caused by your blood sugar.

Don't now and never took drugs. You mean that rapid drops in glucose wont cause tremors - that is physiology 101
I just want to know if going from high levels of blood sugar from substantial carb diet to lower carb dies has caused this in anyone

It didn't sound like you were having rapid drops in your blood sugar....not from the info you posted. You told us how high your numbers were and also that you made a small change in your diet.
Also it's not Physiology 101 if your numbers are not below 70. You didn't say you had tremors, either. You said internal quivering. When your blood sugar gets to 70 or below you can start shaking...externally, feel faint, etc.
We are just trying our best to help you but can only go with the information you provide.

If you read Stedman's Medical text on endocrinology it clearly states that the level of blood glucose is not the only determining factor in hypoglycemic symptoms. It is also based on the falling rate of BG. So you can go from 250 to 175 in less than 1 hour and be symptomatic.
What I wanted to know is if anyone had made small diet changes and because it lowers the glycogen liver reserves if they were symptomatic.
I should have known that these forums are full of misinformation and conjecture.

We are not giving out misinformation as the link from the National Institutes of Health will show. We are not doctors here. The mods are volunteers and the mods and members are just people living with these illnesses and trying to help one another.
Your rude statement was totally unnecessary. We are just trying to help the best that we can. If you don't agree, I suggest you see a specialist and find out what is going on with you....especially your thoughts of killing someone.

NextAdventure, you just wrote this: "I just want to know if going from high levels of blood sugar from substantial carb diet to lower carb dies has caused this in anyone" (This is copied verbatim from your post; the spelling error is yours.)
This was not the question you asked when you first posted. I answered your questions and gave you lots of information and a website for further reference.
Your recent posts here are insulting and inflammatory. I am sorry that you feel you are not helped as Sherrine and I have tried to give you information pertinent to your situation.
Please do not post here again if you cannot keep your tone civil. A psychologist? Indeed!
