Hi folks,
I came across this forum earlier today, and thought I should take the time to ask a few questions before Fridays Dr appointment.
Bit of history first. For many many years I have had odd happenings when I have been exceedingly hungry. Sweating, tremors, feeling faint and all that jazz. I never really thought much about it, but kept those sort of effects under control by eating somewhat regularly. I have mentioned this to people over the years and they automatically say 'its diabetes, eat something with sugar.' I did once or twice, and that made me worse. Toast and vegemite works. Anything with complex carbohydrates.
I've looked up dibetes stuff everywhere and not many things in my life seem to match. One of them was frequent potty trips and thirst. Now, I don't think I get overly thirsty, but I do go potty every hour I am awake.
I have made an appointment with the Dr to discuss this with him and I will be bringing up the possibility of diabetes. If I am lucky, he will do what ever tests need doing. I believe there is one for piddle, and a blood test.
My question to you guys is, should I eat before seeing the Dr? the appt is at 12pm, so I could possibly forgo eating until afterwards.
Thanks in advance
