Hi MizPiggy and welcome! Wow! Talk about
being blind-sided! That's incredible to find this on your medical record but there's been no further discussion about
treatment? How about
blood tests? In order to have that written on the record, there must have been blood tests. Do you have any results there?
Yes, absolutely talk to your doctor and ask for an explanation! He should have discussed your blood tests with you and what they mean and the plan of action which would include dietary changes, exercise, possible medication if necessary and so on.
Gosh, I am really surprised. (Shocked is more like it.)
Please talk to you doctor. 1) Find out what the blood test results were that determined you had diabetes, 2) Ask what the plan of treatment or action is, 3) Ask why the heck he didn't follow up on this! (That is, if this is the same doctor who wrote that diagnosis.)
Keep us updated and good luck! Jeepers, what a Happy Holiday present for you!
