I've always had a sweet tooth too, and wasn't too happy to learn that my favorites were like poison to me. What has helped me is, for my pre-bed late evening snack, I have something sweet but not outrageous... for example one preportioned container of sugar free chocolate pudding, or a low-carb ice cream bar... stuff like that. I check the carbs on lots of stuff like that at the store, and if it's low enough I'll try it. If it's not gross, I'll buy it again. When all else fails, a very tiny portion of the real thing can actually be very satisfying and keep you from losing all control of that sweet tooth!
