Glucose Fasting 5.3 3.6 - 6.0 mmol/L
Insulin Fasting 176 20 - 180 pmol/L
I used the HOMA IR score calculator, and found that my insulin resistance is 3.28

Hi Old Buddy. What has your doctor instructed you? Are you on medication?
Basically people who are insulin resistant (like me) benefit from a food plan which has very reduced carbohydrates and from a regular exercise plan in order to help the body metabolize the blood sugar. If the combination of these plans still cannot control the blood sugar to more normal levels, then the doctor usually starts the patient off on metformin (Glucophage).
So, I'm wondering what your doctor has suggested. Also, can you write what you usually eat during the day?
I'm glad you posted!

Hi, Lanie,
I didn't on any medication 'cause I don't have a doctor now.
I usually take rice or noodles every meal/day, nothing special.

Plus, did you calculate your HOMA IR score?

I have not calculated my insulin resistance score. The only tests I have had in the labs are the fasting and A1c. I also test at home.
If you have any problems with high blood sugar (diabetes) and insulin resistance, you should not be eating rice or noodles because those two kinds of food raise blood sugar very high!
Where do you live?

To bring high blood sugar down to more normal levels, you can eat:
meat, poultry, fish
most vegetables but not potatoes
leafy greens (lettuce, spinach, etc.)
eggs
cheese
nuts including nut butter and peanut butter
Food that has carbohydrates will raise your blood sugar very high. This means you should not eat food made from wheat like: noodles, pasta, bread, crackers, biscuits, etc. And you should not eat food that is made with sugar or honey. All of this will raise your blood sugar very high.
