I am taking Byetta 5 with Glyburide and blood pressure pill and

cholesteral. The web-site says take meds one hour before shot or two hours after. The company says ask your primary care giver, that for sure anitbiotics must before or after. Drug store guy says shouldn't interact with anything. Does anybody know? How do you fellow lizard lovers take your meds? I am a little confused.

I don't have your answer, myself.

Look over this site and there are several postings that are on just that subject. It might take a while for a "Byettaite" to check in. Just search for postings by Warren and you will see the Byetta postings.

Hi Nana,

Take the BEFORE, with lottsa water. The reason to do it an hour before is to make sure it gets into your blood stream before you take the Byetta. The Byetta has a mechanism that delays the stomach emptying and if your meds get caught in this mechanism, it delays and curtails their effectiveness! the 2 hours after is ok also but before is better if they don't seriously upset your stomach!
