Perhaps we should clarify these natural remedies a bit for the people in this forum. If you are a type 1, you can forget most of these natural remedies because your insulin manufacturing plant is permanently broken. Remedies aimed at increasing sensitivity to insulin or producing more insulin are aimed squarely at type 2's.
Now for all you type 2's out there that are considering cinnamon, vinnegar, etc.; Im certainly not discouraging you. However, realize that if you are already taking a really decent mix of oral meds, the response to one more "med" in the form of a "natural" ingrediant may be very little. This is because your body is already being stimulated very very hard by powerful oral drugs to make it more sensitive to insulin and to nudge the pancreas to produce more insulin. Adding something else from your cooking closet may not have nearly the same effect on you that it has on a healthy non diabetic or someone that is say, taking only 500mg of metformin 2x a day.
That being said, natural remedies are certianly cheap enough. Just make sure to check your blood sugar with and without the added remedy to see if there is really a worthwhile effect!
