For all you test strip users, here's a pet peeve of mine!! Ever notice when you
open your thingy of test strips (
mine come in a cylinder with a pop top - One Touch Ultra) how all the test strips are pointed
UP, with the end that receives the blood at the top of the container. Now you have two choices.
Either pour out a whole bunch of strips to try and get one (and subsequently stuff all the others back in the container) OR reach your finger in and slide one strip out. The problem with this is you've just put your finger all over the testing area!!
Well, how about when you first open that little container you pour out all the strips (into a nice washed hand of course) and slide them back into the container the opposite way (blood receiving area DOWN). This way you can reach your finger into the container and slide out a single strip and never really worry about accidently contaminating the testing area!
