hi mac...Im new here too...I have had diabetes for 18 yrs now...mine has not been controlled for quite some time....I went through a very very traumatic time which really affecting my blood sugars....and now my diabetes has suffered for it....i have suffered with neuropathy for about 6 yrs now...it is spreading throughout my body and I am currently very sick.....I read through all the responses to you...all i can say is...what a wonderful place for support we have here...although each of us is very individual with our diabetes....we all have the same concerns, worries, etc....as everyone said...do not worry about the complications of diabetes...just take very good care of yourself....keep a very positive attitude and outlook on your life...and educate yourself...and remember you are not alone.....oceangirl63
