Hi Everyone, Still dealing with those unpredictable morninging numbers. Ok, last night I made semi good choice for dinner, had salad, bbq chicken, tortilla strips (that is the semi
) Then I even had about
three candy kisses, I know I can see the agast look here. Then..............later my hubby had bought ice cream, and he just happened to buy chocolate brownie, well I had about
three quarters a cup of that, and some almonds, and then I woke up from the couch, started to go to bed and had one of these
cookies I got from Costco, they are oatmeal and such, and supposed to be a healthy
cookie, but they are note sugar or carb free
Ok I tell you all this horror story (my bad I know) to say here I was expecting my usual morning fast numbers 125-140, or even highger because of my terrible choices, and WAMMY, my blood sugar was 118. I can count on my fingers the times I have had those numbers since being diagnosed in 2004. Now I know there is nothing on my late night diet that I should have licience to eat. Now I have had a few almonds alone before bed, and still wake up with the high numbers, so it was not the almonds in themselves. I have gone to bed with 120 blood sugars to wake up to 140. I am not on any meds, and other than the last two weeks being sick with a virus, my numbers while waking and walking(not exercise kind, just being concious) LOL, have been good, even when I have made some not so good choices. My after dinner number last night was 136, so that is within my target of 140. I do have better numbers if I do not eat the tortilla chips and such, but it was acceptable to me. I do notice when we are sick, are numbers go higher. I mean before I was sick, I was having bs numbers 0f 108 after eating, and I think that is really good right? Ok this is getting long. Take Care all, you are a great sorce of comfort and support, Donna
