Hi!!
I've been away for a few days but saw your post and thought I'd at least reply. Unfortunately, I won't be much help.
My son has also been recommended for a pump. The doc says that it will give him greater control over his numbers. Considering his A1C was 10.2 last time, we think anything that can help is a wonderful thing.
My son thinks having to have only one injection site every few days beats the 8-10 injections/day that he does now.
Everyone I've talked to says the pump is the best thing for those needing insulin. I've honestly not heard anything bad about
them. I know you're not a child, but the Children with Diabetes site has a lot of info. Also, check out the ADA site. And don't forget the pump sites themselves. Of course, the company's will brag on their own products, but the ADA will be honest and up front about
it all.
Good luck.
